Why Teens Should Start Blogging for Bucks Now

teenage-superstarSince I’ve started blogging, I have seen many young successful blogger teens.

Some are earning $200 and others are exceeding the $500 mark. When you see these successful young bloggers, don’t you want to be in the same position?

My opinion is that, if you start earning money at an early stage of your life, you will be in a very good position to kick start your life as an adult, because you will be earning a income, you will be able to take care of yourself. As teenagers are curious and always learn quicker than adults I think teenagers have a good chance of being successful at a young age.

Think about it guys, wouldn’t you like to earn a nice income at a young age? Imagine how it will make your life easier?

I have compiled a few of my theories on why you should start blogging for bucks at a young age.

1. Personal Spending

Because your earning your own money you can decide for yourself when, where and what your going to spend your money on. No more asking for pocket money, no more borrowing money. You’re earning yourself a nice income and have complete control. You start becoming more independent and most important, you stop bugging your parents for money.

 2. Teenagers Have All the Time in the World

Fine, I’ve maybe over said this, but teenagers do have a lot of free time, besides doing homework and playing video games. We normally go school and come back around 3 or 4 o clock and then we have lots of free time.  Adults go to work at 9 and come back at 5 or 6 in the evening.

Well it says it all adults have difficulty making free time as they come back from work all tired and exhausted… And yes yes I know that we also get tired and bored when we are at school and if your similar to me you probably hate going to school and waking up early in the morning, In fact talking about school makes me tired already, so lets drop this subject. So in the free time why not try blogging for bucks instead of playing games the whole day?

Prioritize your important things.

 3. Be a Proud Teenage Superstar

Ok, before you start asking what I mean with this, let’s just get to the point. If you’re earning good money from blogging I guess you’ll be proud of yourself right? You’ll probably be ecstatic every time you see your pay check. Imagine how proud your parents will feel. Also if your friends and family know this to, they’ll find it very impressive and will respect you as well.

4. You Gain Experience

One thing nobody ever can take away from you is your experience and knowledge. Once you start blogging you can gain experience. You prepare yourself for the real world, especially with this global recession taking place. You gain experience by making mistakes and learning from those mistakes. When you go for a job interview what is the first thing they ask? Yep, you guessed it right, they ask you for your qualification and your experience.  Now I don’t expect you to put business blogging on your CV if your earning around $200 per month, but if your earning a 4 figure income every month it should be worth putting down.

The more experience you have in life the better it will be.

These are the points I consider to be important. There are of course many more reasons, so if you have any, let me know.

So my final advice is that you should start blogging as soon as possible. What do you gain by blogging? Just comment below.

I disagree, a blog is a relatively high-maintence way of generating money. When you’ve got exams, whose going to be posting new material and keeping subscribers happy?

I prefer a dedicated website where all the ‘content’ is there and can be added to regularly, but importantly without the niggle of ‘whens the next post due’ – you simply create extra “homework” for yourself.

I’m 16, started out online aged 15 – and I’ve made £1000s with Adsense, Amazon Associates and through trading websites. I’m experimenting with a Wordpress blog at the moment (partly to try out the platform) but I couldn’t see it as a ‘headline feature’ – but on the side a must!

I really like SEOmoz – http://www.seomoz.org/ – and I like their layout. Apart from the tools, SEOguides, PRO features and marketplace, the blog features on the side – but is still a key feature. Would it work on it’s own, indepently? Perhaps not so well..

    @ Ed Fry

I understand what your trying to say as I also have a lack of time to post on my blog every day. We teenagers have exams, homework, courseworks and other stuff to focus on and especially at the age of 16-19 we we get a lots and lots of homework. That’s probably the reason that stops most teen bloggers from psoting everyday.

I actually think it’s quite good to have a kind of posting schedule so that your readers know when the next post is going to be posted. Now you don’t have to be posting every 2 days no matter what, as it’s possible that you’ll post 1 day later because of lack of time. Basically what I’m tryin to say is that your readers would like to have a rough estimate on when you’ll post.

But to be honest I think if you can manage your time well you will always find a way to blog.

nice post however no matter how successful they may be at blogging it is important for teens to learn to save and find others ways of supporting themselvs. A blog that is big today can just as quickly die overnight.

    Gary Malhi Reply:

It’s true that a blog can die out, but I think that’s only possible if you don’t post for more then a few weeks or even worse a few months.

As a example what do you think would happen if the mighty Darren Rowse would just stop posting on his blog?

I personally think it will slowly die out, but because of the +15.000 posts he has already made to his blog, it will take atleast a year or longer to die out as readers will have enough quality content to read.
