My 1 Month Old Blog’s Journey So Far

So my blog is 1 month old and I think I should make a post about how my blog is doing at the moment?
I’ll be honestly telling you how much traffic, back links and money my blog has received.
Fellow readers I’ve got a confession to make. So far my blog has been doing extremely well and have listed my achievements so far. Trust me your going to be baffled, but I’m afraid I’m not going to let out any secrets.
- My blog has got a pagerank 10
- I’ve made $ 1.000.000
- I’ve had more than 1.000.000 unique visitors to my blog
- My RSS subscriber count is 100.000
- My blog is on 1st position on Google for search term ‘Make Money Online’
As my blog is only 1 month old your probably wondering how on earth my blog progressed so fast and how I obtained such high number, right?
To be honest i’m just kidding lol. I’ve not even achieved any thing near those statistics i just told you.
Let’s get back to reality shall we?
So far this month I’ve mainly been doing some back link building and have been active in some forums. I’ve also been doing some commenting on related blog. I’ve also been reading some of my favorite blogging blogs.
As you can see my main aim this month was to get some back links to my blog.
Anyway here are the real statistics of my blog so far.
Google Pagerank
My blog has a pagerank o. Not to surprising as it is relative new. I’ve been trying to get back links to my blog by doing directory submission, participating in forums and posting comments on related blogs.
Monetization
I haven’t really been able to make much money online as my blog is still in a start up blog, but to be exact I’ve only been monetizing by blog with Google Adsense and have made a total of $ 5. I’m not to bothered about monetization and am willing to start being more serieus when I start receiving a consistent amount of traffic. This means I’ll most likely stick to Google Adsense and will start experimenting and trying new advertising networks once i get a decent pagerank or some decent traffic.
Traffic
My blogs traffic isn’t really something to be proud of either as i’m not receiving much traffic, but to be exact I’ve been receiving a average of 15-30 uniques a day. I’ve only been participating in forums and have been commenting on related blogs.
Backlinks
I’ve been spending my time mostly on building back links last month. I’ve been submitting my blog to blog directories and have been commenting on other blogs this month, but to be exact I’ve build 180 back links to my blog last month, including some high pagerank back links.
Blog Posts
I’ve written a total of 10 posts last month. I’ve actually had a bit of lack of time, because I’ve been busy with my study, but i will try to post more often this month.
1 month gone and ready for the next month.
How was your blog doing after 1 month? Did you receive a lot of traffic? What did you focus on most in the first month og blogging?

I was starting to get a little shocked when I read PR10 in one month as well as $1000 in revenue. I guess all I have to say is, you will get there if you work at it. Good luck!

Everyone has to start somewhere and if you simply keep at it, you will see results. My blog is only 3 weeks old and I’m in a similar position as you – receiving just a little bit of traffic. Although at the moment I’m not trying to make money with it, simply building and interacting with other people like yourself.
Good luck and look forward to hearing about how October goes!

It would be a miracle if you were able to get anything near to what you joked about.
Any way you have a blog with good design, easy navigation. I would advice you to use Adsense ads inside your post content and remove them or bring them down a bit from your sidebar.

That’s pretty funny Gary, you had me going for a second. I was starting to wonder if there was a language barrier or something.
I’ve been testing a program on my niche sites to get them indexed and gain quality backlinks and I’m pretty happy with the results so far. I plan on posting about it this weekend and I think it could help your site.
I think you are doing great for a month old. The site looks great, your content is top notch and the stats always lag behind actual activity. You are doing a fine job.

That is an ok start! I would hold off on monetization for a while. One of the best pieces of advice I received is to limit your visitors exit options from your page to increase their chances of siging up for your list. Because in the long run your list is king!

I found that twitter is a good way to get some quick traffic to my blog. I use the retweet button as well. Social bookmarking is another method – try the Onlywire plugin and you’ll get more backlinks. I’ve never really been a fan of forums but will try someday.
Keep up the great work

@Moneymaker
It’s pretty hard to make money if you don”t have any traffic. So I think you should have some useful traffic and should update your blog almost daily so that you have some good content. After doing that try commenting on other related blogs as you will get some exposure and some back links. Don’t forget to not spam blogs. AS this will bring in around 25-50 daily depending on how many blogs you comment and how popular they are. As you it will be very hard to rank high in search engines this will be your top source of traffic. While doing this you should also try to gain as many back links with anchor text to your blog. If you do your search engine optimization the right way you will start to rank high in google. Don’t expect to start making money and getting lots of traffic the first day or first month. Blogging is a long term commiment.
Hope this help.
If you have any questions just send me a email.
