How To Keep A Effective Posting Frequency Combined With Brilliant Consistency- Part 1
Many bloggers seem to forget how important you’re posting frequency and consistency is.
Now days you need to post fresh content regularly to keep your blog in good shape. You need to schedule your time and try to find the right frequency. People say it is recommended to post everyday or at least once every other day.
The most common problem most bloggers face is that they start strong and eventually after a month or so they start lowering their posting frequency to around 1 post a week. I’ve seen many bloggers who create their blog full of enthusiasm and post multiple times a day for a few weeks, but as you already guessed, after those few weeks they cut back on the amount of posts and rarly post. Once you do that you can wave your blog good bye.
When you stop posting on a regular basis your blog will also stop progressing because it loses momentum and of course it’s potential to grow.
Once you stop updating your blog, it is most likely readers will not return to your blog. Reader’s want to see unique and fresh content and if you don’t rise up to their expectations they will not come back. If you decrease your posting frequency you are sure to lose your rss subscribers.
I have listed a few reasons on why you should post frequently and consistently.
- Readers will come daily to check your blog
- Readers will subscribe to your blog
- You will continually receive traffic
- You will get comments and opinions
- You build a community and become a trustworthy
- Your blog can become a hit and receive lots of buzz
- Your blog will be considered more important to search engines
- Your blog will have a higher chance on getting ranked high for particular keywords.
How to improve consistency and post frequently?
- Use the wordpress timestamp plugin to automatically schedule your blog posts.
- Always have ideas and keywords written on drafts as they will become valuable in the future when you can’t think of any topics.
- Hire some blog article writers if you don’t have enough time to write.
- Find people to write guest posts on your blog.
- Create a daily schedule for writing blog posts and stick to it.
Is there such thing as perfect blog schedule?
To be honest it actually depends on what you’re looking for? If you’re quite ambitious and want to make a full time job blogging then it is recommended to blog every day, however daily blog posting defiantly increases the chance for your readers to check out your blog daily, it also is very time consuming and takes a big sacrifice to commit yourself to blogging every day.
Some bloggers like to post daily while others like to post every 2 days. It actually depends on how much time you have. I usually tend to post every 2 to 3 days as I’m quite busy with college at the moment. Another reason I like to post every 2 days is because I get 1 day to relax, brainstorm, read other blogs and freedom to pick a topic to write about.
So while some bloggers post every day, others like to post ever other day or few times a week. It all comes down to how much you’re capable to write. At the end you need to consider what the best is for you and your readers
How often do you post on your blog? Do you have enough free time?

Base on my own experience, the best post schedule is each day posting, but yeah, i only post each others day, it is because i do not have time to post each day.

Sometimes I find it hard to schedule posts. I have opened my blog for guest posts and some have submitted posts for approval.
If one is consistant then one can improve traffic and subscribers. One is always looking for new ideas and strategies to use.

Agree all the points here!
It’s such a damn time to blog when we tap ourselves on a tough posting schedule and have nothing to write. I sometimes can write 2 or 3 posts a day while sometimes I can’t write down a word.
So this is how I solve this: always write a few drafts, and publish each on the right day to keep the posting frequency.

in my opinion. The main reason of why we should make at least one post per day is because search engine love daily updated blog. Blog is made in purpose to give fresh news, fresh information, and fresh content. That’s why if we want to rank high on SE, we should update our blog daily. Although it requires plenty energy.

And i agree with make a schedule as a way to keep up our performance

I think you need to stick with your schedule from day one, but yes it is hard to do but you need to find other ideas to make posts. You have to read a lot of different material to come up with the posts. Thanks Greg Ellison

Nice points! Actually, writing posts on your blog everyday don’t mean anything, unless you’ve got some quality content. Coming up with fresh quality content day-after-day is somewhat hard, but possible. You need to dedicate some time for your blog, that’s all. Some writers face writers block eventually as they run a successful blog…

The best time to write is when you have something to say. Far too many bloggers crap up their blogs postng anything they can just to post a lot.
“Hire some blog article writers if you don’t have enough time to write.”
This could backfire on you, EASILY and is rarely recommended. Your readers will turn on you fast if they start to notice to many articles are not in “your voice”.

Lots of great informations here, yes maintaining post frequency is very necessary to attract regular visitors to your blog, if a person is posting 1 post per day then it is advisable to maintain the rhythm. Breaking the rule will confuse the loyal readers and they may diffract from your blog.
Post scheduling is the inbuilt feature of a Wordpress, i want to check extra features of timestamp plugin.

I’m posting every day at this moment. I doubt I can sustain blogging at this rate. Probably when the organic traffic picks up, I can cut down on daily posting to once in every two days

I was interested in your post “name” – “Brilliant Consistency” – and started reading.
About frequency – in my point of view it should be constant but maybe not every day. We are the persons, have some problems, some things to do. there are some blogs (Russian, English, French – I mean language) I read constantly and glad to read smth interesting and useful. And in contrary with this side, I feel upset when my fav author hasn’t posting for ages.
